BIRD CHALLENGE
I am sending home our Bird Challenge for the long weekend. We will be starting on Thursday afternoon with a walk around the school and will mark in our bird sightings. Over the long weekend, whenever the children are outside, they can look for birds and mark them down on their pocket list. The field guide (blue booklet) is for them to keep. Please send the “Student pocket list and tally” back to school next week on Tuesday, May 24, where we will compile our results and send them in to the national office. PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND
We are finishing up our study of Canada by comparing Manitoba to Prince Edward Island. I will be reading an abridged version of “Anne of Green Gables”.

OBJECTS and MATERIALS
We will be starting our final science unit about objects and materials next week. Hopefully you have been on the lookout for small appliances that we can use to build our robots. I’ll be asking for them to come into school in a few weeks.
