I LOVE TO READ
We had lots of fun last week during “I Love to Read”. This Thursday the whole school will be meeting in the chapel area to share our activities – Our Add-on Story, Our top 5 favourite books, Our mixed-up Fairy tales, and our Character Quilt.

ALL ABOUT OWLS
Last week we learned about what is special about an owl’s eyes and ears. We also learned that there are about 134 different species of owls in the world. Each student will be creating a research project about one specific type of North American Owl.

LOOKING for BOOKS
I am happy to have the students borrow classroom books to read at home. We also need them to be returned so that someone else can borrow them. Please take a look around your home and return any books that your child has finished reading. Thanks.

THE THREE LITTLE PIGS
We have been working with the story of The Three Little Pigs over the last few weeks.  We have made story maps, read many different versions, designed and built a new pig house out of paper and masking tape (and used a hair blower wolf to test our houses’ strength).  This week we will be writing our own story versions, “The Three Little ___’s and the Big Bad __”.
