IS I LOVE TO READ MONTH
I sent home a different kind
of home-reading log on Friday (pink). It
has a Reading Tree with hearts to initial and colour. Please keep this reading log for the entire
month and return it at the beginning of March.
If the children meet their reading goal (20 nights of home-reading) they
will receive a certificate from the premier of Manitoba.
VALENTINE’S
DAY
Valentine’s Day is coming up! We will have a party on Thursday, February 14,
in the afternoon. The children may
exchange valentine cards if they wish.
We ask that if your child wishes to participate, they please send a card
to every child in the classroom.

THE
THREE LITTLE PIGS
We have been
working with the story of The Three Little Pigs over the last few
weeks. We have made story maps, read
many different versions, designed and built a new pig house out of paper and masking
tape (and used a hair blower wolf to test our houses’ strength). This week we will be writing our own story
versions, “The Three Little ___’s and the Big Bad __”.
