ABORIGINAL PEOPLE of the NORTHWEST COAST
We have finished our study about the NW Coast aboriginal people.  We learned about how they lived long ago and a little about the history from the time of the European contact up to today.  We made small totem poles, decorated canoes, designed button blankets, practiced weaving a bookmark and made a group totem pole with our own animal crest designs.  Here are a few pictures of our projects.

MOVIE PARTY
We had lots of fun at our last class movie party.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
The book fair is now open during the lunch recess time (12:20 to 12:50).  The children may purchase books (and other items) during this time or with their parents during the Evening of the Arts Concert next week Wednesday.

FIELD TRIP
There is another up-coming field trip booked for our class.  This trip is to the Aviation Museum where we will be participating in a program called "Stop and Go".  This program is all about Position and Motion, which is also our next Science unit.  We will be going on Friday, June 3rd in the afternoon.  We will need parents drivers for this field trip so keep this date open if you are able to help us out.

GREEN DAY
On Monday we cleaned up our playground and went for a nature walk.
