FEELY BOOK ITEMS
I sent home a letter on Friday explaining what we need to make our FEELY BOOKS.  Please help your child find 6 “textures” around your home and bring them to school in a Ziplock bag labeled with their name.  They need something hard, soft, smooth, bumpy, crunchy and rough.  Some suggestions for each texture are listed in the letter.  Please send these items to school as soon as possible.  Thank you for your help.

SWEATERS WANTED
CLWR (Canadian Lutheran World Relief) is asking for used sweaters/sweatshirts, especially in children’s sizes.  If you are cleaning out your closets and drawers and have sweaters that your child no longer wears, please bring them to school this week.  They are sending off a shipment soon.  They will take adult sizes as well.

GRADE ONE HOMEWORK
The homework sheets and math game bags came in on Friday as requested – Yeah!  Please remember to leave the front coloured newsletter page attached to the front of the homework sheet as this makes it much easier for me to keep track of which week your child had a certain math game.  It is also helpful for me if the parents would initial the bottom of that same coloured newsletter sheet.  This lets me know that you saw the letter and the homework.

HOME-READING
We started our home-reading on Friday.  A letter explaining how the program works and some books were sent home.  Please let me know how things are going and contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
