LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL SCHEDULE-
We have a very busy last week of school schedule coming up.
I can't believe that the year is almost over. We have had such a great year of learning together. Thanks for sharing your wonderful children with me.
Monday, June 24 - Outside Activities Day in the afternoon - send a sunhat and wear sunscreen
Tuesday, June 25 - Talent Show in the afternoon - children need to sign up beforehand
Wednesday, June 26 - Grade 8 graduation ceremony in the afternoon
Thursday - June 27 - Kindergarten graduation in the morning
- Awards ceremony in the afternoon
- End-of-year classroom parties
- Report cards are sent home
Friday, June 28 - No School - First day of summer holidays
END-OF-YEAR PARTY TREATS
We will be having an end-of-the-year class party on the last day of school - Thursday, June 27. I haven't assigned any particular families to bring treats for this day because it is often difficult to know who will be here on that last day so ... anyone who would like to send in some treats for our party, is welcome to send something in to school that day. Thanks for your help.
ADDITION FLASH CARDS
I sent home a set of small addition flashcards (in a ziplock bag) that the children have been practising here at school. Please help your child practice their addition facts over the summer. This is a very important skill to have (memorized math facts) when they move into higher grades at school.
FLAT-STANLEYS
Some of our Flat-Stanley people have returned to school already. If you have a chance, please remind your visiting family that we would like to have them back at school as soon as possible so that we have time to read about their travels and post them on our map of Canada bulletin board in the hallway.
TAKE A LOOK FOR BOOKS
Please start looking around your house for classroom books. My books should all have my name sticker on them. I would like the books returned to school soon so we can organize them. The children should be finishing up their Reading Bingo booklets this week too. (as far as they are able)
