TERRY FOX WALK
Our school will be going on our Terry Fox Walk this Thursday, September 27 at 1:00 pm.  We will be walking as a group around the neighbourhood.  Please have your child wear their blue ~ BSLS t-shirt on Thursday.  Please send in your Terry Fox pledge form and $, this week.  Thank you!

SNAKE PITS FIELD TRIP
The weather looks promising for our field trip to the Narcisse Snake pits on Friday, September 28.  (Keep the weather in your prayers.)  Please dress appropriately for the weather that morning.

FRIDAY SPELLING TEST
The grade two spelling test for this week will be done on the following Monday (October 1) because of our all day field trip on Friday.  I would still like the homework packages to be handed in on Friday as usual.

SPECIAL PEOPLE in our CLASSROOM
We have a number of special people in our classroom this year.  Ms. Edwards and Ms. Tolenar (Ms. T.) are both E.A.’s in our classroom.  They alternate the days they spend with us.  We also have Mrs. Woods, a volunteer, who comes in Mondays and Fridays.  She is very special because she is a retired teacher and my mom.  Miss O’Neill is a student teacher from the U of W who will be spending Thursdays in our classroom as well.  We are very grateful for their help.

HOME-READING
Last week we started our home-reading program.  The children may switch books any day during the week, when they have finished with their old books.  Don’t forget to initial the date boxes for the number of nights of home reading and return the weekly sheet to school each Friday.  Our goal is to read at least 5 nights per week.
